A Serene Welcome Party at The Greenwich Hotel
There’s something special about a welcome party—it sets the tone for the entire wedding weekend. For Anna & Omar, that first impression took place at the iconic Greenwich Hotel, in its private penthouse suite and rooftop terrace.
The space itself is a dream: Japanese-inspired interiors, warm textures, and an atmosphere of understated luxury. Our job was to design florals that would honor that sense of serenity while giving the rooms a fresh energy that felt like Anna & Omar.
Quiet Beauty, Thoughtful Details
Instead of overpowering the space, we chose a soft palette of whites, creams, and hints of apricot to mirror the penthouse’s natural calm. Roses, ranunculus, and tulips were mixed with delicate greenery for a look that felt airy and effortless.
Bamboo became a design element of its own, standing tall by the fireplace as a sculptural piece. This single gesture brought a grounding, organic presence to the room and tied the florals back to the natural materials of the space.
A Runner That Drew the Eye
In the adjoining room, we created a long, airy floral runner using peonies, tulips, and yellow oncidium Honey Angel paired with fresh greenery. The golden oncidium blooms added a dancing, almost weightless movement that made the entire room feel alive.
Alongside the runner, we placed ikebana-inspired centerpieces with orchids and minimal greenery. These intentional, sculptural arrangements invited guests to pause and notice the quiet beauty of each bloom—adding to the sense of serenity in the space.
A Gathering Table on the Rooftop
On the rooftop terrace, we styled a long table for guests to gather. Our design focused on clean lines: slender floral arrangements of roses and oncidium ran the length of the table, accented with clusters of fresh green grapes for a touch of abundance. Slim glass candles added height and a soft glow, turning the space into a modern yet inviting lounge under the open sky.
The Atmosphere We Created
This welcome party was all about creating harmony: between the flowers and the space, between design and function, between elegance and ease. Every element—from the bamboo by the fireplace to the airy runner and rooftop table—was chosen to let the venue’s character shine while giving the evening a personal, memorable touch.
