In August, we had the pleasure of designing an intimate and romantic wedding for Grace & Roger at Palma Restaurant in New York City. Hidden in the heart of the West Village, Palma is known for its ivy-covered courtyard and cozy, candlelit charm. It’s one of those rare NYC venues that feels like stepping into a garden in Italy — warm, intimate, and full of character.
The day was filled with laughter, family, and love — a perfect balance of elegance and comfort that reflected the couple beautifully.
Blue & White: A Classic and Timeless Palette
Grace & Roger envisioned a soft blue and white color story — elegant, calm, and timeless. To bring that vision to life, we designed a custom silk floral arch filled with blue hydrangeas, white garden roses, and cascading greenery. The flowers looked so real that most guests thought they were real.

Grace’s bridal bouquet and the wedding cake décor were designed to match the arch, creating a seamless transition from ceremony to reception. The result was a cohesive, effortlessly romantic look that photographed beautifully under the soft light.
The Venue: Palma NYC
Palma’s garden courtyard is a hidden gem in the city — surrounded by vines, rustic walls, and twinkling lights. Both the ceremony and reception took place in this lush outdoor space, which can comfortably fit around 40 to 50 guests. While the space feels cozy when full, that intimacy is what makes weddings here so special.
The cocktail hour was held upstairs in a private room styled like a vintage library — wooden bookshelves, warm lighting, and a homey, European feel. Guests sipped cocktails and chatted while our team transformed the garden from ceremony to dinner setup below.
Reception Design
After the ceremony, the space came alive with candles and color.
The evening felt relaxed yet elegant — guests dined family-style under string lights while enjoying Palma’s incredible fresh Italian cuisine, made with seasonal ingredients and served with genuine warmth.
