In June, we had the joy of designing flowers for Angela & Barry’s intimate garden wedding at Aurora Brooklyn, one of Williamsburg’s most charming Italian restaurants.
It was a day filled with color, laughter, and warmth — the kind of wedding that felt personal, cozy, and full of love.
A Natural Garden with Dopamine Colors
Aurora’s courtyard garden is known for its lush greenery and brick walls, creating a beautiful balance between rustic and romantic.
We designed a realistic silk flower arch inspired by dopamine tones — soft peach, blush pink, butter yellow, and creamy white.
The colors looked joyful and radiant without being overwhelming, perfectly blending with the venue’s natural charm.
To make the space feel even more inviting, we added hanging flowers on each chair, giving the ceremony a light, garden-inspired touch that guests adored.
Ceremony and Reception in One Garden
One of the most special things about Aurora is how seamlessly it transitions from ceremony to reception in the same garden.
While guests enjoyed cocktail hour inside the restaurant, the Aurora team transformed the courtyard from an aisle setup into a warm and intimate dinner space.
We repurposed the flower arch as the sweetheart table backdrop and filled the tables with bud vases and floral centerpieces, keeping the same bright, joyful color palette.
When guests returned, the garden had transformed — glowing softly under the evening lights, filled with flowers, and ready for dinner and dancing.
Dining Experience
Aurora’s family-style menu was another highlight of the night.
Each table shared a variety of Italian dishes — from fresh pasta to seasonal mains — encouraging conversation and connection.

The cozy layout and delicious food made the evening feel like a relaxed, elegant dinner party among friends.
