Fan Shu Book Launch at NYU Tishman Auditorium NYC | Yellow Rose

Yellow Rose Corporate Event at NYU Tishman Auditorium NYC — Fan Shu 帆书 Book Launch

In September 2026, hundreds of readers, thinkers, and community members filled NYU's Tishman Auditorium for a singular occasion: the New York launch of Fan Deng's latest book, 成长的觉醒 — An Awakening to Growth. The event was hosted by Fan Shu 帆书APP, the influential reading platform Fan Deng founded, and it carried the kind of energy that makes you remember why you moved to New York in the first place — a room full of people who believe that learning never stops. FlowerEver was there not as a vendor, but as a floral sponsor, because this is exactly the kind of event we want to stand behind.

As an Asian American women-owned floral design studio, FlowerEver has built its reputation as a trusted corporate florist in NYC by bringing the same artistry we pour into weddings and proposals to every professional stage. When our founder, Genevieve Xinyi Cen, learned about the Fan Shu book launch, the decision to sponsor the florals — rather than invoice them — was immediate. The book's message about waking up to your own growth resonated deeply. It is the same philosophy that drives this studio: show up, do beautiful work, and keep becoming better at it.

What followed was one of our most meaningful projects to date — a modern editorial floral installation starring yellow roses and the unforgettable High & Magic rose, designed to honor both the stage and the spirit of the evening.

Launching FlowerEver's Community Give-Back Programme

This event marks the official beginning of something we have wanted to build for a long time. FlowerEver sponsored every stem, every arrangement, and every detail of the floral design for the Fan Shu book launch at NYU. We were not paid for this work. We chose to give it because the subject of 成长的觉醒 — an awakening to growth — speaks to what we believe as a studio and as members of the New York community.

Going forward, FlowerEver will sponsor florals for community and educational events in NYC that share this spirit. If an organization is gathering people together to learn, to grow, or to lift up a community, we want to be at the table — literally. At the Fan Shu launch, we also provided a coupon card to every guest in attendance, a small way of extending the relationship beyond a single evening and inviting a wider audience to experience what thoughtful floral design can feel like in their own lives.

We do not yet know every shape this programme will take, and we are not making promises beyond what we can deliver. What we can say plainly is this: FlowerEver donated its time, talent, and flowers to this event because the cause mattered, and we intend to keep doing so for events that align with our values. For a small studio, that is a meaningful commitment, and we are proud to put it on the record.

Why We Chose High & Magic Roses — A Big Apple Tribute

Flower selection for a corporate event is a different discipline than choosing a bridal bouquet. The arrangement needs to read from a distance, hold its own against stage lighting, and communicate something about the occasion without a single word. For the Fan Shu launch, we built our palette around yellow roses and, most importantly, the High & Magic rose — a variety that became the conceptual anchor of the entire design.

The High & Magic rose is extraordinary because of its layered color story. Its outer petals are a rich, warm red, while the interior opens into a bright, saturated yellow. The effect is unmistakably reminiscent of an apple — and that visual echo was exactly why we selected it. This was a New York City event. The Big Apple deserved its own rose. Placing these blooms against the black-and-yellow stage at Tishman Auditorium created a modern, editorial contrast that felt intentional down to the last petal.

Yellow roses, traditionally symbols of friendship, joy, and new beginnings, reinforced the evening's theme of growth and awakening. When you are designing corporate event flowers in NYC, every choice carries weight. The palette cannot just be pretty — it has to mean something. These roses meant warmth, ambition, and a love letter to the city where the event was unfolding.

How to Choose Florals for a Corporate Event in NYC

Having designed for product launches, office openings, galas, and editorial activations across New York and New Jersey, we have learned that corporate floral design follows its own set of rules — related to but distinct from wedding or social event florals. Here is what we tell every brand manager and event planner who reaches out to our studio.

Start with the stage, not the centerpiece. In a venue like NYU Tishman Auditorium, the stage backdrop is the first thing every attendee sees and photographs. Your florals need to complement — not compete with — the existing visual identity. For the Fan Shu event, the stage was already dressed in black and yellow branding, so we leaned into that palette rather than introducing new colors. The result was a cohesive, polished look that felt like it was designed by one creative team.

Design for the VIP experience separately. We styled 12 VIP tables with their own centerpieces, creating an intimate layer of design that the main auditorium audience did not see. This is a strategy we recommend for any NYC corporate event: the general session communicates your brand to the crowd, but the VIP room communicates your appreciation to the people who matter most to your organization. A thoughtful centerpiece on a private table says more than a banner ever could.

Choose flowers that photograph well under event lighting. Corporate venues — especially auditoriums and conference spaces — tend toward cooler, harsher lighting than wedding venues. Yellow and warm-toned flowers like the roses we used at Tishman naturally counterbalance that coolness, reading as vibrant and alive in photos rather than washed out. If you are planning office opening flowers or a launch event, ask your corporate florist in NYC what varieties hold their color under fluorescent or LED lighting. It is a detail that separates polished events from forgettable ones.

Think about what guests take home. For the Fan Shu launch, every guest received a FlowerEver coupon card alongside their event materials. If your budget allows, consider a small floral takeaway — a single wrapped stem or a preserved flower token. It extends the life of your event in the guest's memory far beyond the evening itself.

The Design Process — From Brief to Beautiful

Every corporate project at FlowerEver begins with a creative brief. For the Fan Shu event, that brief was driven by three inputs: the venue's existing stage design, the book's visual identity, and our own desire to honor the Big Apple through flower selection. Genevieve developed a mood board anchored by the High & Magic rose's apple-like coloring, mapped it against the auditorium's black-and-yellow palette, and designed arrangements scaled for both the expansive stage and the intimate VIP dining tables.

We work this way for every corporate floral design project — whether it is a Fortune 500 product launch, a nonprofit gala, or a boutique office opening. Our process includes an initial consultation, a visual proposal with flower and color options, a detailed logistics plan for load-in and installation, and on-site styling by our team. For corporate clients in particular, we know that reliability is not optional. When your event starts at seven, the flowers need to be perfect at six. That is a promise we take seriously, and our portfolio reflects it.

What makes FlowerEver different from a traditional NYC corporate event decorator is the personal artistry behind every arrangement. Genevieve founded this studio on the belief that beautiful floral design should be accessible — thoughtfully priced without compromising on quality or creativity. That philosophy holds whether we are designing a grand bouquet for a private client or sponsoring flowers for a community event at one of the city's most iconic universities.

A Room Full of Growth

Looking back on the Fan Shu book launch at NYU, what stays with us is not just the beauty of the High & Magic roses glowing against that black-and-yellow stage — though they were stunning. It is the feeling of being part of something larger. A room full of people gathered to talk about waking up to growth. A book that asks readers to pay attention to their own becoming. And a small floral studio in New York and New Jersey that decided the best way to show up was to give, not to bill.

We are grateful to the Fan Shu team for welcoming us as a sponsor, to every guest who picked up a FlowerEver coupon card that evening, and to Fan Deng for writing a book whose title — 成长的觉醒 — we plan to take literally. This is the first chapter of our community give-back story. It will not be the last.
